How to Fix Intel AX200 Bluetooth Not Working (2 Easy Methods)

If you’re facing issues with your Intel AX200 Bluetooth adapter not working properly—such as devices not connecting, Bluetooth disappearing, or unstable connections—don’t worry. Here are two effective methods to fix the issue.

Method 1: Disable USB Selective Suspend in Power Settings Inconvenience

This method prevents your system from automatically turning off USB devices to save power, which can sometimes cause the AX200 Bluetooth module to stop working.

Steps:

Press Win + R, type control, and press Enter to open the Control Panel.

Go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options.

Click on Change plan settings next to your current plan.

        Click Change advanced power settings.

In the popup, expand USB settings > USB selective suspend setting.

Change both On battery and Plugged in to Disabled.

        Click Apply, then OK.

        Restart your computer.

Method 2: Update the Bluetooth Driver Using Intel Driver & Support Assistant (DSA)

Outdated or corrupted drivers are a common cause of Bluetooth problems. The best way to update them is using Intel’s official Driver & Support Assistant (DSA).

Steps:

Go to the official Intel DSA website: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

Download and install Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.

Launch the tool and let it scan your system.

If an update for the Bluetooth driver is available, click Download and then Install.

        After installation, restart your PC.

After completing one or both of these methods, your AX200 Bluetooth should be working properly again. If you’re still having issues, consider reseating the AX200 module inside your laptop or desktop (if you’re comfortable opening your device), or trying it on a different USB slot with an adapter.
